How I can help
Parents, does your teen presents as put-together, successful and well-liked by peers and adults? However, you know, that they are struggling inside. Maybe they come home and completely fall apart, have emotional meltdowns or shut down. They can’t seem to see in themselves what others see in them. They struggle with self-esteem, anxiety or depression. As a parent, you, no doubt, worry about your child’s wellbeing. There is no doubt that kids today live in a whole different world, then we used. The pressure of social media, aftermath of a pandemic, mounting expectations of adults and internalized feelings of inadequacy has created ripe ground for mental health concerns for our young people.
I have a special place in my heart for teens and college students. I appreciate the enormous difficulties that come with the transition from childhood to adulthood. This is the time of identity shift and coming-of-age experiences that can feel overwhelming and frankly terrifying. I love being able to empower, enlighten, educate and support young people through such transitions. Together we can process difficult emotions, learn productive coping strategies, and explore identity and values.
